FAQs

What if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

There is always someone available to respond to your concerns. We have an emergency service which contacts an on-call doctor 24/7. Please call our office and you will be directed to the emergency service.

I don't have dental insurance. Can I still see a Toms River Family Dental dentist?

What will happen at my first visit?

Your first appointment will include an exam and consultation, and possibly x-rays. Following the exam, your dentist will recommend the appropriate treatment plan for you.

How often should I see the dentist?

Most children and adults should see the dentist for a regular cleaning and check-up every six months. If you're at greater risk for oral diseases, the dentist may recommend more regular visits.

What are some signs that I should visit the dentist?

Having sensitivity to hot or cold, pain or swelling in your mouth, difficulty chewing or swallowing, or dry mouth, among others are all reasons to schedule an appointment.

How much is it going to cost for dental services?

Pricing for services can vary from patient to patient due to the type of insurance, or lack of insurance. Once you see your dentist and have a treatment plan, the office manager will provide you with detailed information about costs, financing alternatives, and insurance.
